I had the pleasure of photographing Jacqueline and Adam around NC State and Pullen Park in Raleigh a couple weekends ago. They met while at school at NC State and love it, so we thought it would be the perfect place to have their engagement session. After being best friends for a few years (and everyone thinking they were a couple) they decided to take the plunge and start dating. Apparently it took them a little while to get used to the idea of not just being best friends, but once they did, they quickly fell in love. I can’t wait to photograph Jacqueline and Adam’s wedding in September. They are such a fun couple. They love to joke around and make each other laugh. In school they even pulled pranks on each other, which I love, and reminds me of the good old days of college and the house of 10 girls I lived in! We had a great time wandering around State. It was my first real tour of the place and I love it…such a cool campus with so many nooks and crannies that make for really fun and artsy shots. I finally got to see the wolf ears, the free expression tunnel and the bell tower, so many fun places! So, anyways…here are a few of my favs from the day…

love the Pullen Park carousel…

and of course, all of the bridges…

then we moved on to NC State…

Jacqueline and Adam are very adventurous, so when we found this cool parking garage they suggested the idea of climbing onto this ledge. Although the mother in me was a little worried about someone breaking an arm, I’m so glad they did because the shots came out great…

so sweet…

I was apparently going for some sort of weird parking theme that day, but I like it!

love the reflection…

the amazing free expression tunnel at NC State. It puts Beta Bridge at UVA to shame. It is like a piece of art!

the NC State bell tower, where Adam proposed…

and one more in the tunnel…

Thanks again, Jacqueline and Adam, for such a fun afternoon and giving me my first taste of NC State! See you in a few weeks!
