Meet Scott and Sondra. I am photographing their wedding in Boone, NC this June, so we got together for an engagement session this week. They are such a lovely couple! I had the pleasure of photographing them all around Chapel Hill and Carrboro. It was such a fun time. Scott and Sondra are so at ease with one another and are pros at making each other laugh, which made my job so easy. The weather and lighting were phenomenal, so we were able to get some really great shots with a lot of flare. I think it is really important to do engagement sessions at places that are meaningful for the couple I am photographing, so everywhere we went during this session had special meaning. We met up at the Lantern in Chapel Hill, where Scot and Sondra met for their first date and where they eventually got engaged (that is where the first picture was taken). We were also able to get some fun shots in front of the pencil mural in Chapel Hill, which also had special meaning for them. Scott and Sondra had an ongoing joke before their engagement that he could propose to her with “just a pencil” because she didn’t need something fancy like a ring…so he did (of course there was a ring later). We then spent some time around Carrboro (where most of their relationship has taken place) and then out to Maple View Farm…because who doesn’t love rolling hills and handmade local ice cream!! Anyways…that is the long-winded way of saying- here are a few from the evening…

love the romantic flare in the next three…

doesn’t get much more romantic than that…

a few shots around Carr Mill…

Thanks, again, guys! Can’t wait for your wedding in just a few weeks!
