Although I am constantly surrounded by weddings and people in love, I don’t necessarily consider myself a romantic person. Don’t get me wrong, I ADORE seeing couples bursting with excitement about spending their lives together, looking at each other with such admiration and joy. It’s an amazing thing to be a part of. It’s just that I’m not sure I believe in things like “love at first sight” or “fairy-tale endings.” I think love is a gift…but a messy gift, privilege…but one that shouldn’t be taken lightly, and an absolute joy…but also something you work for. I am, however a not-so closet addict of The Bachelor…so maybe I am romantic after all! But one thing I do believe in is an immediate connection or spark between two people. That’s what happened when Jaci and Jeff met for the first time over 7 years ago. The first time they ever laid eyes on one another there was an instant connection. They spotted each other from across a room and were both instantly drawn to the other. As the night progressed they had maneuvered their way closer and closer to one another so that by the end of the night they were sitting next to each other and talking…they have been falling in love ever since. I think that is so sweet and definitely romantic!
It is such a joy seeing Jeff and Jaci together. Seven years after that first spark, their joy can still light up a room. I had so much fun with them at our session in the adorable downtown Fayetteville last Saturday. They are absolutely best friends and SO comfortable with one another. I love how Jeff is constantly making Jaci laugh. Best friends, comfort, joy, laughter…romance like that is the kind that lasts a lifetime. That’s the kind of romance I believe in and the kind of romance I feel absolutely honored to get to capture.
I adore this next picture…
love this red door!
So sweet!
Thanks again, Jaci and Jeff! It was so much fun and I can’t wait to celebrate with you at the State Club this fall!!
